Etude House - Sweet Recipe - Dear My Jelly Lips-talk - JPK002 - Review, Swatch, FOTD

Sometime back I won a small contest held by Etude House. I won their Sweet Recipe - Dear My Jelly Lips-talk lipstick in shade JPK002 Strawberry Syrup.

The lipstick comes in a very cute box with jelly beans drawn on it. The lipstick itself is in a pale cream colored plastic packaging with a crystal ring around the base. The crystal ring is almost the same color as the bullet inside (to make identifying the color easy if you have more than one of these in your stash)

Dear My Jelly Lips-talk - Texture, Price and Staying Power

The lipsticks from the Dear My Jelly Lips Talk range are sheer lipsticks with lots of moisturizing elements to keep your lips feeling smooth. These lipsticks are supposed to be "Jelly Like" in texture. I find the texture very smooth almost like a lip balm, it goes on the lips like a sheer lipstick yet it covers the pigmentation - which is strange but you can see my lip swatches and you will notice that my lips don't appear pigmented (whereas they are) so it is hiding the uneven pigmentation perfectly.

These are priced at around $7 at amazon.com. These are a must have specially for college going girls who want to add a dash of color to the lips without looking made up.

The lipstick stays on for a good 3-4 hours - the balmy feel ends after a light meal but the hint of color stays on.

Dear My Jelly Lips-talk - JKP002 - Strawberry Syrup

JKP002 or strawberry syrup is a lovely balmy red shade - I call it balmy because its not an opaque color. It gives the lips a red stain look. The lipstick bullet is a gorgeous red color - it looks super smooth as well but does not melt even in the harsh summers.

The lipstick smells like candy but the fragrance doesn't linger on for long (though I wouldn't mind if it did!)

I love the seal of Etude House embossed on the lipstick bullet - took me a long time to capture this through my lens.

Dear My Jelly Lips Talk - JKP002 Swatch

With a single swipe it appears almost pink red but you can build the color a little bit to make it appear more red (in the FOTD I am wearing two coats).

And here is me wearing it - I like the fact that my lips appear red without being too red - this is something I can comfortably wear to work.
