Nail foils are a good way of adding some dazzle to your nails without too much effort (well yes, once you get the hang of it!)

I have the N.NAIL Hot Galaxy Diamond Hidden Nail Foil Transfer which is a dazzling mix of pink, golden and green with a diamond pattern.

To do nail foil nail art all you need are three things. Nail foil, nail glue and an ear bud (q-tip).

You begin by coating the nail with the nail glue, it is white in color, then you wait till it turns transparent (see the third pic below where the glue is drying off to a transparent color)

Then you take a piece of nail foil, gently place it over your nail and now press it on using an ear bud making sure you press gently but cover the entire area specially pressing a bit firmly at the edges of the nail.

While you are pressing it down you will slowly notice the foil sticking to your nail and a transparent plastic left out (basically the colored portion of the foil sticks to your nail and the base lifts away on its own) - you just need to pull away the base plastic away from the nail and you are left with foiled nails!

It did take me time to achieve a bit of neatness in this - the trouble is you need to be a bit patient and very gentle with the ear bud. The press has to be firm but not hard otherwise the foil tears up leaving horrible looking nails behind.

I have used a foil that is multi color but you can try it with single colored or patterned nail foils as well.
