Lakme Skin Stylist Kit & Lakme CC Cream FOTD

Is this post late? Very late? Very very late? Oh yes its late indeed. I got this kit from Lakme as a prize for a contest held on Neisha's blog.

The kit contains the Lakme Iconic Kajal, Lakme CC cream, Lakme 9-to-5 nail paint (reviewed & swatched HERE), Lakme 9-to-5 lipstick in shade Beige Post (reviewed HERE), an eyeshadow quartet, and a liquid liner in blue.

I was supposed to do a look using products from the kit. I did a simple everyday look and followed it up with how you could convert that easily into an evening look. Neisha liked the evening look and put that up on her blog.

This is what I did for a simple daytime look - good for office or college.

See the watermark near my eyebrow - well I had to do this - there have been too many cases of people misusing photos from blog posts. Anyhow here is a break up of the look.
1. Clean the skin and pat dry.
2. Lakme CC cream on the entire face (I used this on my upper lids as well)
3. Lakme 9 to 5 beige post lipstick on my lips, blended on my cheeks and upper lids.
4. Iconic Kajal used as an eye liner on the upper lid.
Volla that is it!

I hope you like this simple FOTD. I will do a separate review post on the CC cream soon (I hope!)

For the evening look I simply added some color to the eye lids (bronze on the outer corners) and darkened the lips. For the lips I reused the bronze color from the eye shadow quartet on the lips and topped it off with a lip balm (remember I talked about this in my post on custom lip colors!).

So finally after a long time I'm done with a post that contains an FOTD. (note to self - make time for more makeup tutorial posts)

  1. Loved the look.. Do you think Maybelline's colossal kajal is more pigmented than eyeconic kajal? #BSP

    1. I think they are equally pigmented but the texture of Iconic is smoother and hence gives a better appearance
