A facial is very relaxing when done at the parlour by a trained professional. But for women like me who are always short on time for self pampering, INVEDA has launched easy to use home facial kits.

Last year when I was traveling to the US and wanted something that I could take with me for an instant lift me up for my skin, I took along two variants - The Argan Oil & Dragon Fruit facial kit, and the passion fruit and silk protein facial kit.

These INVEDA facial kits include ingredients like Passion Fruit Oil which protects from damange caused by free radicals, argan oil, panax ginseng extract which improve complexion, ashwagandha extract that prevents fine lines and works against blemishes; Vitamin C known for its action against hyperpigmentation; Vitamin B3 - a very common ingredient in skin care treatments, dragan fruit extract to fight signs of aging etc.

Each kit is priced at Rs 225

Both the kits are very similar and I'll be using pictures of the Passion Fruit & Silk Protein facial kit for this review.

INVEDA facial kits come in a small box with 5 sachets each. This is a one time use facial kit consisting of a cleansing cream, a face scrub, a massage cream, a face pack and a protective serum.

The process of doing the facial is simple.

Begin with the Cleansing Cream. The passion fruit & silk protein cream is sufficiently thick to give you a good cleansing effect. Just lather it on and rub it on your entire face. You can proceed with the scrub without washing it off but I prefer to wash my face in between the steps of a facial. Just makes me feel more fresh.

Next take the scrub on your palm and on a wet face gently rub in circular motion. Wet your hands with water to ensure the scrub doesn't feel dry or gritty during the exfoliation process. Do not scrub the face for more than 2 minutes. And ensure that you use a very gently hand.

Once scrubbing is done, wash off your face and proceed with the massage cream. Gently massage your entire face focusing on the areas around the mouth and even on the neck.

Massage the cream until it is absorbed by your skin. By this time your skin would feel really soft.

Next start with the face pack. Lightly wet your face and apply an even layer over your face and neck. The face pack is thick and creamy. Once it begins to dry, gently scrub it off. This face pack comes off without the need of water if you apply an even layer. Once you've taken it off you may want to wash your face and pat it dry.

The last step is to apply the Passion Fruit & Silk Protein serum. Again gently massage it into your skin.

Each step of the facial takes an average of 2 minutes (except the pack which might take upto 5 minutes to dry). Which means in 10-15 minutes you should be left with clean glowy skin. The effect of a good facial massage and relaxing effect of the face pack is more pronounced the next day. For this reason it is always a good idea to do a facial one or two days before you need to attend a special event.

The fragrance of the facial kits is very refreshing and I specially liked the face pack.

  3. These sound really fun, like a regimen in a box. I've never done a system like this, but I do wear sheet masks and mud packs throughout the week. I love feeling like I'm doing something good for myself.

  4. Oh wow, that looks like a great system. I know that when I've had spa days in the past the face routine was my favorite part!

  5. Today I sat contemplating the meaning of the term 'eco fashion'. I thought to myself, "If anyone should really understand the meaning of the above it should be me, as I have dedicated the best part of three years toward the creation of an eco fashion brand." The problem is there is no point in me understanding the meaning if others can't conceptualise the term, and how it may fit into their lifestyle. what is eyebrow microblading
