Christmas is around the corner and festivities are galore. There are so many eye makeup contests that have happened during this time and though I did not get a chance to take part I have been trying out some new eye products.
The product I am reviewing today is the Diana of London Shooting Star Waterproof Eye Liner, Eye Shadow and Highlighter pencil. Yup you read it right – its 3 products in one.
What the company claims
“An eyeliner dedicated to all women who wish to enhance their beautiful eyes. With an exceptional luminous effect, mysterious glow and extra soft, smooth and brilliant texture. Gives maximum pay off, glides on easily for long wearing "stay in place" color. Glittering eye liner allows you to wear in various applications and modulate your looks as you like. Can be used as an eyeliner, eye shadow, or a high lighter. Adds intensity and color to your eye. Available in 10 rich vibrant colors.”
The Product
What a product I must say. First the packaging, very sparkly and bright and the pencil is the same color as the product which is great as it makes it easy to spot this pencil in a stack of eye pencils. The pencil is called Shooting Star and can be used as an eye liner, smudged all over the lids as an eye shadow and used as a highlighter on the eyes.
The shade I picked is 09-Hot Star.
Hot Star is a gorgeous orange shade and my first orange too! Shooting Star eye liner pencils are absolutely smooth on the eye, glides like a dream and once set its smudge proof.
To use it as an eye shadow, apply it as a liner but make a very thick line on the eye lid. Then smudge with your finger (use the ring finger as that is the gentlest and works well on the eyes) – you can also use a smudging tool or an eye shadow brush to spread it out. It leaves a lovely orangish shade on the eye lids with a hint of shimmer – if you smudge properly you can even wear it during the day giving the eyes a very pretty look. For evenings apply more of it to shine those lids!
As a highlighter you can use it along with your black or brown liners, just to give a little sparkle and color to your lash lines.
I am loving 09-Hot Star specially because it is water proof, yes it stays put for a good 8 hours (did not try it longer) and does not fade at all.

ReplyDeleteLaura Anies commented: Waterproof Eyeliner is one of the best eyeliners to use as there are many reasons why a regular eyeliner product would run. Another great choice will be a Liquid Eyeliner
