Innisfree Real Skin CC Cream SPF30 PA++ - Review and Swatches

I have read a lot of cc cream reviews and always heard that cc creams of Korean brands are better than the ones we get here in the market. The earlier ones I tried were samples from Elisha Coy and Rojukiss. They were tiny samples and were a big color mismatch. Lately however I got the chance to try out the Innisfree Real Skin CC Cream. Let me tell you how it fared on me.

Innisfree Real Skin CC Cream comes in a cute classy pump bottle. I really liked the packaging. The outer packaging as well as the bottle come in a soothing light color. The version I have is a red color corrector. The details about the product are listed on the outer box but unfortunately there is no ingredient list.

The bottle is a soothing cream colored made of good plastic material - feels nice to hold. There is a cap on top which you remove to get the pump dispenser.

It is a thick pale pink liquid which is non-oily. You need to prep the skin well before using this - even my oily skin needed a bit of moisturization (which I've been doing using another great product that is waiting to be reviewed). You need one pump of the product for the entire face.

One thing I notice is that if I use a lot of product at one go it does not blend well. So the best way of applying this is to dot around the face and then gently smooth it out. Use less product and you can reapply a bit more where needed.

The instant reaction of the product is to give a brighter appearance, the red on the face (acne scars and the under eye area) appears relaxed and less prominent.

It does not completely hide the blemishes so I use this under a Garnier BB or Lakme CC cream (both of these are more like a light weight foundation) or under my regular foundation. It sort of acts like a primer as it gives a smooth base for makeup. It also stays put for a good 4-5 hours. It also boasts of SPF30 hence no need for additional sun protection when you are using this. I tried photographing it (applied as a base under my foundation) and did not notice any white cast prominent with foundations containing SPF.

I have been using this for about 2 weeks and have not noticed any acne breakouts. In summers I will have to revisit this post to update in case it does break me out.

I think this is a great product for people who just want to brighten their face specially if they have dull skin but no real blemishes or acne. I have a wheatish skin tone and it blends into my skin easily without any white cast. This one might not work for very dark skin tones but for general Indian skin tones it should be fine - just make sure you blend it well.

You can buy this online at www.cosmetic-love.com or at the Innisfree stores (there is one in Delhi that I still need to visit!)
