Recently I go the opportunity to try out this new concept on stating my opinions. I was invited to try out State.com.

State.com is a website that provides you a platform to state your opinion about anything and everything that matters to you. It also allows you to then share your opinion with your friends and connect with many across the globe who share a similar opinion. There is a section on 'Trending Topics' which basically shows you topics which people are stating their opinion about. And you when you find people who share similar opinion as yours you have an option to 'Tune In' to that person.

User Interface: The website has a cool interface. Right at the top there is a big bold red button that say STATE. You can click on it and it then allows you to state your topic, you can search existing topics by entering a few words and letting the website give you suggestions on topics that match your search.

Once you have selected the topic you then chose words that state your opinion about it. So to take an example I chose the topic Maybelline and stated my opinion on it as being affordable and trendy. And for the current humid weather I chose Humidity and stated that it is unbearable.

Once you state your opinion you can see what is the sentiment range on that topic and where does your opinion lie in that range. You can see how many people across the globe share a similar view and how many actually differ in opinion. There is also a place which shows the top trending words on this topic.

Those of you who follow my personal account on facebook must have seen my opinions being stated there as well. Basically the website allows you to connect with your friends on twitter and facebook simply by clicking on the little icons just below the opinion you just stated. There is also an option of specifically seeking feedback, you can 'Ask others' what they feel about the topic you just started.

Then there is also an option of chosing other people's topics and stating an opinion on those topics. I had fun connecting with people on varied topics such as dark chocolate, high heels, glitter polishes, and even something as generic as 'taking naps' - yeah you can state an opinion on just about anything.
