Do You #PlayItFair?

What does Play It Fair mean to you?

If you talk about sports, fair play is an essential requirement. With Wimbledon around the corner, fair play is ringing bells all around us. Tennis has always been a sport where men and women are paid equal prize money thus playing it fair to both.

Even in India now a lot of emphasis is being given on equal opportunities for girls and guys in all domains in life. While girls are encouraged to participate in sports, we have some great make up artists who are guys and constantly surrounded by traditional 'girly' lipsticks, foundations and what not!

To me every walk of life deserves fair play. Even fashion!

Allen Solly launched a whole collection of clothing for both men and women in keeping the theme of Wimbledon in mind. You must have read my post where I picked out a few outfits I thought were apt if you are headed out to watch the matches. If you haven't you can check out the post Dressing Up For Wimbledon.

Today I'm sharing a few instances in life, simple everyday things, where you can Play It Fair.

To me Play It Fair is synonymous to living life being fair to your friends, family, your work, and most of all to yourself.

Let's say you are out to purchase some fruit, don't haggle unnecessarily with the poor fruit seller for a few rupees when you are willing to pay four times the price at a store. This is fair play in your daily human interactions.

Headed out on a hot sunny day, dress well in keeping the weather in mind. Don't dress to please others or simply to sport the latest trend, dress for your own comfort, for your body shape - be fair to yourself!

If you have lots of clothes lying around that you haven't worn for ages, give them away. Let someone else have the privilege to own them and become a fashionista in their own world.

I recently posted a few images on Instagram and my other social media channels interpreting #PlayItFair in my own world. Here's a short video of it all in case you missed it.

And here is a nail art I did that you can see in the video above. I love how this came out!

  2. Play it Fair - equal = equal. Along the lines of sports - the women's team getting paid significantly less then the men's US team, while the women EARN more money for the association and place MUCH better. I'm tired of hearing people say "but look how far we have come"....that is great, but why settle for "almost", why not settle for EQUAL = EQUAL?

  4. I defintiely think Playing it Fair means treating others with respect and treating people as equally as possible. As women we need to be conscious of not committing the same discriminations against our fellow ladies as men do!

  5. To me, playing it fair is just being considerate of others. I always try to be polite and courteous, I always try to keep out of the way in stores or give up a table if someone else has been waiting for one. It's a shame when people can't be bothered to return the favors.
