You Can Never Have Enough Shoes - My Blue Sandals!

"A woman with good shoes is never ugly" - Coco Chanel

"Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world" - Marilyn Monroe

When you read such quotes on shoes and smile, you know you are a shoe-aholic! I surely am one. I love shoes and even though my style is conservative, I love stocking on heels, flats, peep toes, sneakers, slippers and the lot. Recently on a visit to the Reliance Footprint store (the only store near my place which stocks a variety of brands) I purchased one more pair (there is always room for one more - right?)

This time I've picked up a pair of sandals in blue. I was longing for a blue pair of shoes for quite some time but the blues were either too pale, too bright or too dull. This pair meets a few needs that make them perfect for my daily work wear. I found a rich blue tone in a pair that gives me comfort and will go with my jeans as well as skirts.

The blue pair of sandals I got have a 1.5 inch heel and broad straps that keep the feet in place. They are easy to slip on (no buckle hassles at all) and the sole is very comfortable. These sandals add some height to my petite frame without making me tire out in a few hours.

My feet are tiny (I wear a size 3.5 UK) so finding a pair that fits is another challenge altogether. I found quite a few options that I was interested in but the sizes were too big for me. Here are the ones that actually fit me. I really liked the second pair with the floral pattern but I stopped myself from splurging on another pair since I'd already decided I needed a blue pair.

This pair cost me Rs 1595 and is from the brand Catwalk. It was not on discount.

Reliance Footprint also has in-store and online sales going on at www.footprint360.com. In store I saw some pieces were on 50% off (specially if you wear UK size 5 and above  you should find the discounted pieces in your size) The new collections feature summer wear, sandals and lightweight bellies. They also house quite a few ethnic wear pieces with beads and embellishments to meet your party needs. Since I was clicking pictures of my shoes the salesperson brought out a set of tan colored shoes saying I should click those as they were the most selling pieces, I couldn't help but smile and obliged him with a picture of his most selling pairs.

  3. I wish I could wear heels. My heels were beat up while training for a half marathon so now they are sensitive to shoes & I stick to sneakers.

  4. I need to pick up some sandals yet, but since the weather's been relatively cool, it's not yet happened. I love the idea of shoes but hate show shopping. I have wide feet AND very high arches so finding shoes that fit and are comfortable is far from easy.

  6. I'm not a shoe person. I have 1 pair of Uggs, a pair of sneakers, 2 pairs of Bobs, 1 pair of casual flip flops, and 1 dress sandal. haha If one breaks, I replace it. But that's it.

  10. Thank you for reminding me that I really need to go shoe shopping! I have no summer shoes right now. I used to be a total shoe hoarder, but now I own just a few pairs and none are good for summer!
