Recently I reviewed a face polish from Aura Vedic which I am loving. Another great product from Aura Vedic that I tried recently is their face mist. This is like rose water in a spray bottle but with added benefits of sunscreens and essential oils.
What the company claims: "This gentle antioxidant Facial mist delivers nourishing moisture to balance and hydrate all skin types. Blended with pure fragrant organic oils, Aloe vera and Green tea to tone and repair skin. This mist is just the thing to keep your skin feeling soft, hydrated and moisturized without looking and feeling oily.
Aloe vera soothes and refreshes skin. Neroli and rose infuse skin with antioxidant nutrients that protect skin against environmental stresses that damage skin.
Free of Parabens, SLS, Harmful Chemicals & Colours."
The fragrance of roses instantly lifts your mood, skin feels fresh and is all set for your regular moisturiser and make-up Oily skinned beauties should not need to moisturise at all after this, I have oily skin and this helps take care of any dryness. In winters though a regular moisturiser might be needed on top for extra moisturisation. This face mist can be used as a replacement for your regular toner.
Again a warning for pregnant ladies this - product contains essential oils and hence must be used after medical consultation (refer essential oils and their use during pregnancy)

The face mist comes in a clear bottle with a spray nozzle and a plastic cap. The product itself is light pink in color and is liquidy as one would expect. The spray when new did not work properly for me as it would spurt out too much liquid at times. But this got fixed after several sprays.

Aura Vedic Pure Calming Face Mist - Valley Of Flowers |
Ingredient list is mentioned on the back of the pack boasts of Orange Oil, Neem extract, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Bergamot Oil, Lemon Oil, Green Tea extract, Rose Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Neroli Oil, Aloevera extract, Calendula extract, White Lily extract, Purified Water and Phenoxyethanol (Phenoxyethanol is an organic chemical compound, a glycol ether often used in dermatological products such as skin creams and sunscreen. It can depress the central nervous system and may cause vomiting and diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration in infants - source wikipedia)
To use this product you need to spray from about 5cm away from the face to get a good spray. Clean your face as usual and spray it all over the face and neck and then leave it to dry. I usually spread it evenly with my hands so that it dries faster. Once dried there is no oily feeling and it simply vanishes into your skin like water. The fragrance of roses instantly lifts your mood, skin feels fresh and is all set for your regular moisturiser and make-up Oily skinned beauties should not need to moisturise at all after this, I have oily skin and this helps take care of any dryness. What I like
- spray bottle
- light texture but contains essential oils good for the skin
- awesome fragrance
- cool refreshed feeling it imparts to the skin
What I don't like
- Phenoxyethanol - although safer than parabens this is still harmful and there is a warning against this product as well. Until science figures out a safe cosmetic preservative you might see this in a lot of products
I dont like the usual rose water based face mists...still yet to find a good one for me :)
ReplyDeleteyou can give this one a try if you don't mind the rose fragrance
