Aura Vedic Sandal Turmeric Skin Polish - Review

A few months back Aura Vedic sent me a cute looking pot of Sandal Turmeric Skin Polish. I used it for some time and am now ready for my review.

Aura Vedic Pure Lightening Skin Polish Sandal Turmeric Texture & Price

The polish itself is light pink in color with tiny granular jojoba beads. The color is most likely due to presence of red turmeric. The texture is very soft and creamy. The fragrance is a mix of sandalwood and something else I cannot pin point. Not overpowering and doesn't linger on your skin after wiping off the polish.
It is priced at Rs 180 for 50gms and has a shelf life of 2 years

Aura Vedic Pure Lightening Skin Polish Sandal Turmeric Usage & My Experience

The Sandal Turmeric skin polish tub contains instructions on how to use this skin polish. Basically you don't have to wash it off, simply wipe it off with a cotton ball. Now, I used it on my face (because it does not say which part of the skin it is supposed to be meant for) So I tried it on my face, it was so soft and smooth on my face and I wiped it off after a few minutes - but I did not use a dry cotton ball, instead I used a wet one.

My skin is acne prone and simply using a dry cotton ball just did not make sense to me. Any how, the result of this skin polish on my facial skin was really good. The fact that  I did not have to wash it off was great for winters but I just can't leave my face like that as I am scared of getting more acne - so I follow the process with a final rinse with water.

Since I did not have too much discoloration on my skin all I can say is that my skin looked brighter (not lighter) but very supple sort of bright and smooth. I also tried this on other parts of my body (washing it off after a nice gentle scrub) and found that it is lightening the skin a bit. The effect is very slow but is there. Overall this feels a bit creamy for my oily facial skin but works great on other parts of my body specially the elbows and knees. It did not break me out in winters but I don't think I will use this on my face more than once a week in summers. It does make the skin feel very soft to touch without making it oily.
