A body wash person usually steers away from soaps but once in a while I do take a break from body washes and return back to that bar of soap for my bath.
That is exactly what I did about two weeks back when I started using the Sea Salt and Sugar soap from The Nature's Co.
The Nature's Co Sea Salt & Sugar soap costs Rs 245 and belongs to the Aquaspark range of products. The company descripts the Aquaspark range as "The abundance of the oceans and rivers and all they hold find expression here. The rich aquatic & coastal ingredients in these products, like moss, red algae and seaweed hydrate and replenish while invigorating and refreshing your day."

Inside the cloth wrapping is a refreshing light blue colored soap wrapped in a plastic wrapper. My soap was a bit dis-shaped because of the extreme hot weather but it did not change shape or melt once I opened this up.
I was expecting the soap to melt away under water but that did not happen. It stayed in its shape and form which was a relief. The fragrance of the soap is a bit difficult to describe. To me its almost non-fragrant except for a tiny hint of an oil which I'm guessing is the smell of Palm oil. There is a musk like refreshing fragrance that comes when you use it in the shower but its very light.
The soap does not have any granular salt or sugar particles (which I was expecting) and is quite smooth to use. It does not lather too much because of the oil base. Despite the oil base it does not leave any oily residue on the skin. Skin feels absolutely clean after using the soap.
I liked using the soap but I did not enjoy it - there are basically two reasons for that. Firstly I like my bath products to have a strong fruity or floral fragrance and this does not. Secondly I like a lot of lather because it just makes the bath experience very luxurious - again something I missed in this soap.
But leaving those two points out, the soap is true to its claim and works well in cleansing. I personally feel this is more suited to summers and oily skin. If you have very dry skin you will surely need a moisturizer after using this soap.
Overall I would say if you are looking for a light fragrance product that cleans without lathering too much you will really like this so give it a try!

The Nature's Co Sea Salt & Sugar soap - Packaging & Price
First of all I LOVED the packaging - look at that cute cloth wrap tied with a thin rope string! And it also had the small card attached. This card tells you all about the soap - how to use it and the main ingredients.![]() |

DeleteGreat Review...I am actually looking for a soap that has granules & can be used as an exfoliator...I guess this won't do it. Seems to be a great product though...
ReplyDeleteThanks Richa. You can try an apricot scrub as a general body exfoliator - works well :)
