Long back in one of my beauty boxes I got this tiny soap which said Snan Licorice and Safron Extract Mild Soap. It just lay in the cupboard until one day when I though it was high time I gave this a try.
The soap came in a soft paper packing with not much detail about the soap. So I googled and found this:
"A luxurious organic soap that is extremely mild. Formulated with Licorice extract, Vitiver oil and Saffron. Licorice is the safest and most effective natural skin whitener and brightener. Also regulates sebum control that clear the blemishes in skin. Vitiver oil is known for powerful anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties. Helps reduce scars, marks, eczema and itchness. Saffron dissolved insoap renders mild fragrance and a golden glow to the skin. Suitable for sensitive face and skin"
The soap lathers well and has a scrub like texture. I loved using this. The sample that I had lasted for about a week. I did not notice any skin lightening in particular but I really loved the fact that it was like using a gentle scrub all over the body. It left the skin feeling soft and my normal body skin did not need any moisturizer afterwards. For dry skin ladies you might need to use a moisturizer specially in winters.
It is priced at Rs 160 for 120gm
Overall I am glad I got to try this out. I will try and repurchase this once I'm done with my current stock of soaps and body washes. I would have given it full points had this been available in a strawberry fragrant variant but then this is an organic product and they have not added any artificial fragrances which is great.

My first reaction to the soap was that it reminded me of the old bars of soap that came years ago at the local shops. It did not have any fragrance and seemed pretty solid to lather at all. But as they say initial appearances can be deceiving.
