This is a quick review of the L'oreal Paris Fall Repair 3x Shampoo and Conditioner. I thought I'd review them together as I've been using them together and have some points to mention here.

So to begin with we take a look at the packaging - a lovely combo of black and purple, both the shampoo and conditioner come in the same packaging. While the shampoo stands on the bottom of the bottle, the conditioner stands on its cap to ensure its easy to take out the conditioner which is thicker in consistency.

The fragrance of the shampoo and conditioner is something most girls would simply love. A fruity floral combo that simply engulfs you in a lovely fragrant world as you shower.

The shampoo comes at Rs 69 for 75 ml while the conditioner is priced a little higher at Rs 80 for 90gm. Ingredients of both are clearly mentioned on the back of the pack.

The Fall Repair 3x claims to nourish the hair roots, restructure hair fibre and stronger hair growth. Now I was very hopeful when I started using the Fall Repair 3x shampoo and conditioner. In the shower my hair felt super smooth, the shampoo would lather well and the conditioner would feel like silk on my hair.

After rinsing and drying my hair did feel extremely soft. There was a nice shine to it. But that's where the good things ended. Within a week of using this combo my hair started falling miserably. I had hair falling the whole time. My maid got sick of cleaning up the house as there was hair all over. Then after about two weeks I stopped using the conditioner just to check if that was playing a role in my hair fall. And it turns out that yes, with the conditioner I was having a lot of hair fall. After stopping the use of this conditioner the hair fall has been controlled but not cured. So while I finish off the shampoo my hair still continues to fall. Even though hair looks shiny it is not smooth and is still madly frizzy so I don't think there is any restructuring of the hair fibre either.
I am not sure if all of you will face a similar problem with the shampoo conditioner duo. I do live in a place with extremely hard water and a lot of products don't work as expected. But my hopes of getting back strong hair have been shattered. I was so hopeful with this that I even purchased an extra bottle of shampoo which is still lying sealed in the cupboard. I think I'll use it after some time once the weather changes.
Have you tried the L'oreal fall repair 3x range? If L'oreal is reading this - please please make something that works with hard water!
