Faces Soothing Eye Gel Mask - Review

Faces Soothing Eye Gel Mask
Faces Soothing Eye Gel Mask
This is a quick review of the Faces Soothing Eye Gel Mask. Basically its a gel based product that is encapsulated in a soft plastic casing. The casing is shaped so that it fits perfectly to cover the eye area. There is an elastic band to secure this in place as you relax and dose off to wonderland!

The gel mask relieves tired puffy eyes and helps relax the eyes specially after a days work in front of the PC. The elastic band is adjustable and you can reuse this mask for a long time.

To use the mask most effectively keep it in the refrigerator for about an hour. Then place it over your eyes and let the cool sensation remove your stress as you lie back and relax. I find this very effective specially when my eyes are extremely tired. The cold sensation also helps  remove puffiness.

Now the pack says you can use this warm as well but I've not tried shoving this into the microwave since it says nothing on how to heat this. Moreover, when it comes to the eyes, I think cool packs work better in relieving stress than warm packs.

There are two drawbacks I find with this
a) The pack does not remain cold for long - withing 10 minutes its time to put it back in the refrigerator. I did try and 'freeze' it but that spoils the gel permanently so please don't try that. The only alternative is to keep this in the freezer but only for a short duration - making sure the gel does not freeze.
b) The elastic band just fits my head, I would say my head is an average size, so people with larger heads, specially men would find this too short. But you can always just let this rest on the eyes without tying it down.

Price: Rs 135
A good to have product for a quick relief for tired eyes.

    1. oh actually any cooling pack would work - it has nothing to do with the gel - just the fact that it can give a cooling sensation - the thing is these are ready to use so you don't have to wait to cut cucumbers or cool your tea bags :)
