Tete-a-Tete With Yami Gautam For Jabong Online India Fashion Week

In June 2014 "in a move to further strengthen their position of India’s leading online fashion store", Jabong.com announced the first ever ‘India Online Fashion Week’. Mr. Praveen Sinha, Founder & Managing Director, Jabong.com and Mr. Arun Mehra, CEO, Talenthouse India, alongwith the ravishing actress Yami Gautam were present at the event. Yami Gautam is "one of the key mentors" of an event of such big stature. The India Online Fashion Week will raise its curtains on July 25th, 2014 and will be closed on July 30th, 2014. There will be participation from the who’s who of the Indian Fashion fraternity.

Yami wore a bright red skirt with a crop top and looked stunning as always! I had the opportunity to ask the beautiful Yami Gautam a few secrets about her beauty and fashion that I would love to share with you all. So while we wait for the India Online Fashion Week to begin lets see what Yami has to say!

OurExternalWorld: What is the secret behind your flawless looking skin?
Yami: There is no substitute for water and I make sure that I drink copious amount of it on a daily basis. Especially in the summer season , it’s very important to keep yourself hydrated. A dehydrated skin looks dull and lifeless. Apart from this, I go the organic way. I try to consume as much organic product as possible. Using organic makes a huge difference to your skin and hair.

OurExternalWorld: What would you recommend to girls out there for looking beautiful?
Yami: I would recommend the young girls out there to follow homemade beauty treatments, they work the best. Stay away from chemicals. Also, it’s important for today’s generation to understand the concept of individuality. Wear what you like and be who you are!

OurExternalWorld: What does style mean to you?
Yami: While following trends is one thing but one should not get too carried away and commit a major fashion blunder. Always remember to add your own personal touch to whatever trend you decide to follow. Crop tops are in and I decided to wear the same for the event. However, I love this red pleated skirt while my stylist wanted me to wear a longer sheer skirt, which are apparently in, but I decided to go otherwise, paired it with my top. And, I think it looks great as I got many compliments for the same.
Style is something personal, something that you’re comfortable in and are able to carry off well. So for me too, it is a marriage of comfort and aesthetics.

OurExternalWorld: What does it mean to you to be associated with the Online Fashion Week?
Yami: Jabong.com is India’s leading fashion destination and caters to the fashion aspirations of modern India. It is a big responsibility to be the key mentor for India Online Fashion Week. And, I hope I will be able to do justice.

At the launch a thrilled Yami Gautam, the celebrity mentor said, “Fashion is more than runaways and models. IOFW has given me a chance to translate my style and fashion amongst the budding talent of this country, one of the reasons that took my liking instantly for this platform. I am proud to be associated with Jabong.com for IOFW as I believe this is a stage that would develop future of fashion from the ground up. What more than having on board an online shop like Jabong.com that penetrates into the far flung cities, fashion is sure to reach new heights. I am excited and I am looking forward to doing some great work for the first ever India Online Fashion Week.”
