MoYou Stamping Plates - Curtain Raiser

If you are a fan of stamping nail art you must have heard the name of MoYou London plates. MoYou London is a well known brand which provides tools and accessories to help you achieve salon style nails at home. And the best part is the satisfaction one gets in doing their own nails and getting praises for it!

I have been a huge fan of the lovely nail art done by Puja (Cute Nails) and Dimpal who I consider a stamping expert (Crazy Polishes). My stamping experience was limited to a single small hello kitty plate and a stamper I purchased on a trip to Thailand. I never knew that the quality of plates really mattered.

From Dimpal I learnt about MoYou London plates and one visit to their site got me hooked. A few days back I received my first order from MoYou London which is a selection of four very different plates.

This post is all about sharing my haul and in subsequent posts I will share with you actual stamping nail arts using these gorgeous plates.

I have got one plate each from the Frenchy, Suki, Rebel and Kitty Collection. The patterns in these plates are of normal size. MoYou London does have extra large plates as well.

Each plate costs £4.99 (Rs 500) plus shipping.

Here is a closer look at the Kitty Collection 09.

Kitty Collection plate has individual patterns that you can place on the nail, perfect for short nails like mine. I have played around with the Suki plate and love it completely. I promise to share more pictures in actual stamping posts where you can see the design on the plate and then on my nail!

Here is a sample image of one of my first stamping trial with the Rebel plate.

This was just an initial attempt and I assure you the posts that follow will show you the real beauty. Oh and if you thought you must have special polishes for stamping, don't fret, a lot of normal polishes work just fine. I'm experimenting on that too and will surely share names of polishes that work.

If you want to do stamping remember that you will need to practice the right technique but most importantly you need to get a good set of stamping plates, and the journey is pure joy!

You too can go visit the MoYou London site and select your favorites. Recently they have also launched a stamping plate based on Indian designs which looks lovely - this is next on my wish list!

  6. Nail artists say that Black Nail colour is usually displayed by followers of the Goth subculture. It's said that the colour black is a much better attention catcher than the other more conventional colours like light red etc. curso como fazer carimbo de unhas funciona mesmo
