Liquid Palisade by Kiesque - Review

Liquid Palisade made a lot of waves in the nail art world recently with different brands coming out with similar products. A lot of us DIY enthusiasts have also created our own versions. My review is based on the usage of this product for over 2 months now. 

Liquid Palisade is a product that aids nail art. Its a liquid glue sort of product that you can apply on the area around your nail before you do nail art like water marbling, sponging etc. It dries off and later can be easily peeled off making your nail cleanup a piece of cake.

First of all I love the packaging. A long cylindrical tube (similar to lip gloss) that is packaged in a very delicate and feminine looking box. The product is light mauve in color.  

The applicator is a thin brush which makes it super easy to apply this very close to the cuticles.

Below you can see in the picture. I applied liquid palisade around my nails. It dries off a darker mauve so that you can see where it is applied. Then I sponged for my nail art base. Once things dried off I simply peeled off the mauve glue like substance and I was done!

Liquid Palisade contains the following ingredients: Natural Rubber, Water, Ammonia, Tetramethylthiuram Disulfide, Ammonium Hydroxide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide. May contain: Iron Oxides, Ultramarines, D&C Red #6 or #7, FD&C Yellow #5.

You can also apply this over a base coat (which is fully dry) to create patterns - basically use this to draw out a pattern and apply a different shade on top - when you peel it off the nail the base color will show through only on areas where the liquid palisade was applied.

I do think the product is very costly - priced at $22. Other than that the product is awesome. It is super easy to use and has made nail cleanup so simple.
