This year when Sonam Kapoor made her first appearance at a press conference in Cannes she decided to wear a saree by Rimzim Dadu.
Rimzim Dadu is a designer who showcased a lot of new textures and materials at the Amazon India Fashion Week this year.
The saree that Sonam donned was quite interesting in terms of texture.
A stark black flowy fabric teamed with a shiny blue pallu that almost looked as if it was metallic due to the way the different tones of blue where interplayed.
When I saw this pic of Sonam Kapoor it just inspired me to do nail art keeping the same color scheme in mind.
Here is a picture of my fashion inspired nail art that I posted on Instagram. Unfortunately I don't have other pictures. I was so eager to do the nail art that I barely took one pic before I messed up the still wet nail paint.
I used several different blue polishes to create the effect.
The technique that I used is 'dry brushing' - basically you take off as much polish from the brush as possible leaving it almost dry. Then you brush it over your nails giving it the streaked effect that I needed here.
I hope you like my take on this saree.
Sonam's makeup with this outfit was absolutely gorgeous. In face this is one of my favourite outfits from the entire Cannes carnival.
With a clean base, a hint of blue on her eyes, and the quintessential soft pink lips, Sonam made a lot of heads turn for sure.
