Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion - review

Winters are long over and so is my dear Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion. This was my favourite last winter for the simple reason that it worked.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

The moisturizing lotion contains colloidal oatmeal as the active ingredient. The company claims that the moisturiser replenishes the skin's natural barrier function so that it doesn't lose moisture and stays that way for over 24 hours.

First the packaging - it comes in an easy to use tube with a flip cap.

The texture is very light weight yet it’s a thick cream. It simply gets absorbed by the skin. I love to apply a huge amount and gently massage it into my skin.

My skin feels happy, soft and healthy. The lotion is white in colour (a transparent sort of white) and has a very light lavender fragrance - nothing overpowering - very gentle indeed. And true to its claim it protects the skin from dryness the whole day. I have even applied it on my dry heels and it made them happy too :)

I have run out of the tube I had (one tube lasted me about 5 months). Even as we entered into summers I continued to use this as it did not make the skin oily or greasy.
