Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush - Peach Satin - Review

Blush is one make-up item that I feel can make you look cheap and vulgar if you over do it. I normally use a blush only for special occasions. Sometimes though when you are feeling low and you want to get a little glow on your face a blush can really work wonders.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin is a little gem in a pot. Yes, it comes in a glass pot with a pink cap. I don't like the glass pot as I have to be very careful not to drop it! But otherwise the size is good enough to carry around in your purse.

Peach Satin is a soft pink peach colour with tiny shimmer particles. The texture of the blush is as the name says, a mousse form. Very soft to touch and a little bit is good enough. As you can see I have reached the bottom of the pot while there is a lot of product on the sides - this is what usually happens to products that come in such pots. Over time the texture has changed a little - it has become less mousse like but still soft to touch.

When you take a small amount with your finger and blend it on your cheeks it gives a lovely natural looking glow to the cheeks - almost colourless. If you want you can apply it again and darken it for the evenings to give more colour to the cheeks.

As you can see in the picture above  the pink is showing quite nicely - I think it is more pink than peach but in natural sunlight it does look peachy. See the picture below taken in sunlight.

I love to use it on my eyelids as well - and I love the natural brightens it brings to my eyes. With a Kohl to add some glamour the eyes look pretty for the day time.

The one thing you will notice is that if you rub in too hard you can waste a lot of product. I have tried to apply this with a brush as well as with a sponge but the easiest way to apply it is to use clean fingers.

    1. I'm wheatish though I tan easily in summers - it suits me - I think it would suit all skin tones - basically it gives a natural glow so if you don't wont to build up to the peachy pink colour its in your hands as you can control the amount of colour you want. And for fair skinned ladies this would be a must have shade.
They also have a bronzish shade (I can't remember the name) which is also good - again that one gives a warmer glow rather than a pinky glow so that one I would say is better for giving a natural bronzed look.
