I had been on the lookout for a lipstick that I could wear daily to office without having to worry what color clothes I was wearing and without having to worry about the color looking too loud on my face.
I did find the Maybelline Lip Ice to be a close fit but the problem was that the lipstick would not last on my lips for more than an hour. And a single cup of coffee was enough to lose the color from the lips.
I read reviews about several neutral shades and finally decided to order the Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick in Bare. I ordered this from StyleCraze and got a nice discount on it as well (cheapest price online!)
It turned out to by my MLBB shade – yes My Lips But Better.
The lipstick comes in a plastic casing – silver body with a transparent cap. Nothing spectacular here.
The shade Bare is a very nice neutral with hints of pink.
The best part about this lipstick is that it lasts for about 3 hours with my coffee break in between. When it fades it leaves behind a light tint of color. The texture is smooth (not as smooth as the Maybelline but that is understandable as this one is long lasting). There is no fragrance and the finish on your lips is soft creamy matte.

ReplyDeleteEver since I purchased this I rarely wear other shades for work - I just apply some gloss in a diff shade if I really want to change the color :)
