Iraya Almond and Honey Soap - Review

I want to start with a big WOOOHOOO!!! I am almost going to hit a 100 followers on GFC. Thank you all for making this possible. I am wondering who the 100th follower is going to be!!!

Now after taking a deep breath, let me begin with my post today.

Even though I am a body wash person (I love strawberries and other fruity fragrance body washes!) I do switch to soaps in between. Recently I got hold of the Iraya Almond and Honey soap and was quite satisfied with the results.

What the company claims “A nutrient- rich soap bar with nourishing almond oil, coconut oil, rice bran oil and skin-softening honey. A great recipe to cleanse the skin while leaving it well moisturized and younger–looking.  Great for dry & mature skin.”

The soap is translucent in color (more opaque than a pears soap bar). It is a big rectangular bar that lathers quite well per my taste. It has a rich texture making the lather quite good for dry skin days. It leaves the skin soft. I cannot comment about the ‘younger’ looking part of the claim as I think even if it does something like that it would take months of continued usage to show some results.

Ingredient list is clearly mentioned on the back of the pack along with shelf life and price. There is some fragrance added to the product so its not a pure almond oil or honey fragrance but nothing bothersome either.

Overall as a soap I find this good for people with very dry skin who are looking for a natural option for their skin. I do find the price of Rs 195 to be a little on the expensive side yet comparable to other organic soaps that are hitting the market lately.

For soaps I am going to skip the ‘details at a glance’ section and skip straight to what I like and what I don’t.

What I like:
  • natural ingredients
  • moisturizing
What I don’t like:
  • price
