Tvam Sandalwood Face Pack - Review

Sandalwood is a fragrant wood that comes in a thick texture and is yellowish in color. The wood can retain its fragrance for years. In India it has been used since ages in various forms, from the sandalwood paste that is applied on the divine deities to the face pack used to cure skin problems, sandalwood has seen its presence in almost every Indian home.
Many other religions across the globe also value sandalwood as a pure product to be used in various religious ceremonies.

Today I am going to review a sandalwood face pack by Tvam Naturals. This comes in a tub packaging in powder form.

What the company claims: "Sandalwood Face Pack Revitalizes, Nourishes, Tones-Up and Tightens the skin, making it soft, clean and smooth as it draws out impurities and dead cells. It tones the skin and improves complexion by facilitating better blood circulation. It reduces wrinkles, blemishes, dark patches or pigmentation on the face. It helps to reduce discoloration of the skin due to sun–tan and has a cooling effect."

The moment you open the tub you will be able to smell the strong fragrance of sandalwood - simply pure sandalwood. The powder itself is very fine and soft to touch. To apply the face pack you can mix this sandalwood powder with plain water, rose water, lemon juice (oily skin), or milk (for dry skin) and create a paste thick enough to sit on your face.

I take a small amount of this face pack in a bowl.

I add rose water as it makes the pack even more refreshing.

I like to create a paste that is thin but not runny. This makes the pack dry faster but if you have time you can make a slightly thicker pack and let it sit on your face for 20 minutes.

When the pack dries off I wash it with cool water and pat my face dry with a towel. Now coming to my reaction to the pack. I find this pack very refreshing and cooling to use. It makes my skin feel soft and clean. The fragrance is strong but I like sandalwood fragrance so it does not bother me at all. I will need to use this for over 3 months to actually comment on the claim about blemishes but I am quite hopeful because of the current results I see. I think older more deeper blemishes will take time to go away.
