This week I am doing a series of posts on lip products, lipsticks and lip glosses that I haven't shared yet.
The first one in the series is a lipstick from Maybelline which I bought a couple of years ago, wore it almost every day to work and still love it. The shade is from the Maybelline Watershine range and is called Ice Tea.
Its a nude lip color, MLBB (my lips but better) shade and works perfectly for the day time.
Product
The watershine range of lipsticks are super smooth in texture. The one I have is an older packaging which is a pink colored plastic. There is a sticker on the bottom which mentions the shade name and number.
My Experience
As you can see I am almost over with this lipstick. This has a lot to say about this lipstick because it is the only one that I have used so much!
The first thing that I love about this lipstick is its shade, absolutely my favourite! Ice Tea is a brownish pink shade which will suit all skin tones. It gives a very natural look to the lips.
Pigmentation is decent enough with one coat usually enough but gives a more gloss like feel. Two coats will give you the true color of this lipstick and hide any discolouration on the lips.
The texture of the lipstick is super smooth and very moisturising.
The staying power of the lipstick is the only thing that I would rate negative for this wonderful product - the lipstick is so smooth that whatever comes close to your lips is bound to get a hint of this shade on it. So your first sip of water and your lips are bare again - yes that is all it takes to get this off from your lips. If you don't eat or drink anything this will last you for about an hour but not more (unless you use some tricks like using a primer on your lips!)
