Soul Tree Ayurvedic Shower Gel - Review

A few weeks ago I had hauled from ecotokri.com and got myself an organic body wash. After using it for some time it is time to review it.

This body wash is from Soul Tree (soultree.in) It is from their Ananda Range of bath care products. The shower gel is called Wild Aamla, Aloe & Rejuvenating Manjistha shower gel.

What the company says

The Ananda Range

"A natural alternative to soaps and shower gels that leave your skin feeling parched & dry, Soul Tree® Body Washes are made from naturally derived mild cleansers. Organic herbs to suit your skin type and bring lasting freshness."

Wild Aamla, Aloe & Rejuvenating Manjistha Shower Gel

"Rich in āyurvedic goodness this aromatic soap-free shower gel has fresh extracts of organic Aamla handpicked from Himalayan forests. It tones and refreshes your skin while succulent Aloe soothes and moisturises. The rich, red roots of Manjishtha, organically cultivated in the Western Ghats, rejuvenates your skin and leaves it naturally radiant and protected. Adding to your bath experience are natural fragrances from citrus based essential oils that energise and de-stress you with every use."

SoulTree Ayurvedic Shower Gel - The Product

The shower gel comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a flip cap. It is orange brown in color and smells like a refreshing tangy Ayurveda fragrance.
The gel is neither too thick nor runny - just the right consistency to use alone or with a loofah.
You can see the full list of ingredients HERE
The gel costs Rs 250 for a 200ml bottle (you can get it for Rs 140 at ecotokri.com if you use the coupon mentioned HERE)

My Experience With The Wild Aamla, Aloe & Rejuvenating Manjishtha Shower Gel

The first reaction I had when I used this gel was - very refreshing! It is super eashy to use, does not lather like soap but give you a descent lather (without a loofah) - with a loofah it gives you more lather.
After washing it off skin feels fresh and clean without that itchy dry feeling.

In winters I have been topping this up with a moisturizer but after say about an hour only. In summers this will not require a moisturizer on top.

Overall a great organice product to have. A must buy for all those who wish to go paraben free!

You can check out the swatches below (and take a look at the type of lather it gives - this is without  a loofah)

  3. For long, I used products without thinking much about parabens but now things have changed and I am in constant search of good SLS free stuff. Have already tried the Rose Vetiver variant of this range and have found it satisfying but sadly unable to find it online so decided to look for other variants and landed up on your blog. Been quite some time since I religiously involved myself in beauty blogs. Happy to be back and even more happy to read you again after such a long gap :)
