Last weekend adidas launched their limited edition Jeremy Scott Collection in India. I had the opportunity of witnessing this launch event and since it was my first time at such an event I really enjoyed myself. This post is all about the launch and the new products along with some press info provided by the brand. Let me warn you before hand this is a picture heavy post but I think you'll love it!

adidas Originals Introduces the LIMITED EDITION Jeremy Scott Collection
Not one to shy away from the outlandish, Jeremy Scott always brings his unique perspective of fashion to the table, often referencing pop culture from the past to the present. Forming a tight-knit relationship with adidas originals since 2003, Jeremy continues to design unisex apparel and footwear that is high energy, surreal and most certainly fun, playing with bright prints and unexpected shapes.
Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is as eccentric as ever with influences from Eagles to billiard balls. An all-over eagle print carries throughout the collection and is also executed on Jeremy’s signature winged high top shoe. Other highlights include the JS chain cage track top with cut-out body and basketball jerseys reinterpreted with uneven hems, fringing and woven fabrics. His affinity for animals continues: Sneakers adorned with sunglass-wearing poodles and bears.
Ranging between Rs. 8,999 to Rs. 12,999, the Spring/Summer ‘13 adidas Originals-Jeremy Scott collection is will drop at select adidas Originals outlets across the country.

Alright, so back to the launch event. The event was held at the adidas Orignals store in South Ex Delhi. Along with different bloggers present at the event, there were people from various fashion and style magazines as well.

The event started with a short introduction to the collection followed by models walking down the ramp. The ramp itself was a gorgeous colorful painting on the floor and the entire atmosphere was created to match a proper ramp show (albeit at a smaller scale). The bright pink backdrop of the ramp, the bright colors of the ramp itself along with the famous wing motif adorning the ceiling - it all looked splendid indeed!

The collection basically consists of (in my honest opinion) very wacky designs. Keeping the winged motif in mind, the arms of the jackets open up like wings and even the shoes have wings on them, of course now don't think you can actually fly!

What attracts you most to the collection are the colors, vibrant hues catch your eye not only in the garments but also in the shoes.

My personal favorite were the poodle shoes, bright pink, cute and extremely comfy. Although to be honest I really don't think I would wear them but I really liked them so much so that I had to get a picture taken wearing them once atleast!

More wearable designs for the faint-hearted like me do exist, like their winged ballerinas in a muted beige color. Another pair of shoes that I really liked and was being worn by the presenter were the black wings - so even though this pair had wings it did seem wearable and very eye catchy.

The clothes also have jumpsuits for girls very aptly designed for the summers.

This collection is for the adventurous, those who wish to stand out wherever they go. I must also mention a jacket (humored as the Shehanshah jacket) - the design is completely wacky and will surely make heads turn when you strut across wearing this one!

For us guests there was some wine, cheese and yummy chocolate cup cakes too and our parting gift was a cute little laptop sleeve from adidas.

Overall a fun evening, got to meet some fellow bloggers and loved the whole ramp experience!
