I wasn't a serum user and always wondered if these type of 'lotions' actually benefit the skin or are simply terms used for marketing things to the consumer. What are the benefits of Vitamin C
When I got to try out the OST Vitamin C20 Serum I first did a bit of research on what Vitamin C does to your skin and how it works. So first let me share with you my findings
- Vitamin C prevents oxidization of skin (for proof you can apply vitamin C to a slice of an apple and you will notice it does not oxidize like a regular slice does - vitamin C acts like a barrier) - it does the similar thing to your skin - and hence prevents aging.
- Vitamin C is listed as Ascorbic Acid in skin care products. To make direct application gentle for the skin it is usually mixed with glycerin.
- Vitamin C needs to be kept in a cool dark place otherwise it gets oxidized and is no longer useful for the skin. It also oxidizes in contact with metal hence should be stored in glass jars.
- Vitamin C if used properly and regularly does help in healing the skin in terms of reducing redness, preventing blackheads and heals infection.

Now first question that comes to mind is what is Vitamin C20? C20 refers to a 20% concentration of Vitamin C.

Once you open the bottle you can screw on the dropper and keep your bottle in a cool and dark place. I have kept mine in the refrigerator to save it from the harsh Delhi summers.

The serum is an almost colorless liquid with a glycerin like consistency. It has a faint lemony fragrance.

Initial Experience With The OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 serum
After doing my tiny research I started using the Vitamin C serum morning and night after washing my face. I use 5 drops concentrating on the acne area. I rub it in gently and then pat it out. Initially it starts to feel sticky. Then in a couple of minutes the stickiness is gone and I am left with soft smooth skin.
It has just been 10 days since I've been using it and here is a list of what all I have noticed.
- Every morning my skin feels baby soft - the usual morning oiliness is not there, the scars seem lighter - though not vanished completely
- During the day my skin does not get oily at all. It does actually need a bit of moisturization after the Vitamin C in some areas of the face and for that I use the OFRA B5 serum.
- After 5 minutes of application my scars appear lighter - so much so that I have been brave enough to step out to work without any concealer!
- I still have had new breakouts but they are not leaving scars
- My pores appear smaller - they are not gone but they don't appear huge any more.
Overall in these 10 days my skin feels so much better that I am very impressed.
Now I will be continuing the use of this serum for about a month before I can do a complete review. But I do hope that if you have troublesome skin like mine and are looking for something that has hope of actually working then you can surely give this a try.

C serum with the form L-Ascorbic acid, I've read that you should use it unaccompanied and let it sit for one hour beforehand adding anything else to your face as well as before going out in the sun. That is how I use mine and metier makes a difference in whether it everything that well for others. Vitamin C Serum for men
