I have the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the shade Cherish. Its a blue based light pink shade which we will talk about in a bit. The lip balm stain itself has a peppermint fragrance which is not too strong on the lips (but if you have a very sensitive nose you will get bothered by the fragrance until it dies off in about 10  minutes) The stain needs to be applied to well exfoliated lips else it shows up patchy on the lips. It does feel cool on application because of the peppermint I think.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Packaging & Price

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains come in thick pencil forms. The pencil is of the same color as the product inside. The end of the pencil is silver in color while the cap is the same as the rest of the body. It is a retractable pencil so you never need to sharpen it.

Overall the packaging is cute, travel friendly and very attractive.

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain is priced at Rs 600 which is quite steep but I think looking at the price of Clinique chubby sticks Revlon priced it much lower to stay competitive.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Cherish - Pigmentation, Texture & Staying Power

Different shades of Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains seem to have slightly different textures and staying power. The shade Cherish is blue based light pink color. A lovely shade if you have fair skin. If you are wheatish or dusky then I personally feel there are other shades available that would suit you better. It does not suit my wheatish complexion and I usually layer it with a light peach gloss to cut down the poppy pink color it imparts to the lips.

The shade Cherish is not very pigmented. A single swipe will not show up on pigmented lips. On clear lips it will give a hint of pink. For my pigmented lips I need 6 swipes (yes I know I too get tired applying that many swipes!) Even with 6 swipes it does not hide the pigmentation as you will see in the photographs of the lip swatches. The color looks more poppy pink in person (it is more like how it appears in the hand swatch.)

The second lip swatch is of the ‘stain’ that is left behind after about an hour – again you will see the lip pigmentation is showing through but it looks more natural.

The texture of the Just Kissable Lip Balm Stain is very smooth. Initially if your lips are very dry this will take about a minute to settle down and impart its smoothness. I suggest exfoliated lips so that this stain applies evenly. If you apply it to parched lips it will smooth out your lips but would still look patchy.

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Cherish has a good staying power. It initially stays glossy for about 3 hours. After that it leaves a nice stain on the lips which is more darker than the initial color (and is more suited to wheatish skin tones!) - so I usually apply this at least an hour before I step out and then I top it with some gloss - then it gives me a healthy pink color and stays on almost the whole day leaving behind a natural pink stain on my lips.

Overall I really like the concept of a chubby pencil and I am really looking forward to trying out other shades like Honey. I do wish instead of peppermint this had like a strawberry or melon fragrance - then I would have been head over heels in love with it :)

Have you tried out the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain? Which is your favorite color from this range?
