The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo - Bye Bye SLES

I was suffering from a lot of hair fall and dry brittle hair that seemed to have a mind of its own. That is when I decided to take a break from all the silicone based shampoos.

I checked the web and found that The Body Shop Rainforest range has no silicone, no sulphates, no colourants and no parabens.

Since I have dry hair I chose the Moisture Shampoo which is specially made for Dry Hair with Pracaxi Oil, Manketti Nut Oil and community Trade Honey.

The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo - Packaging & Price

TBS Rainforest Moisture shampoo comes in a translucent green bottle with a flip top cap. The shampoo itself is pale green in color so it is a bit difficult to see how much product is left in the bottle.

The shampoo comes for Rs 695 for 250ml. Larger 900ml variants are more economical.

The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo - Texture & My Experience

The shampoo is normal in consistency and does not lather as much as other shampoos. It does not make the hair feel absolutely smooth in the shower like shampoos with silicone do. But once the hair dries it feels very light and soft. With regular usage hair becomes softer and less dry. I have stopped using hair oil on my hair now after starting to use this shampoo.

This shampoo is gentle and may not remove all traces of oil if you have oiled your hair before shampoo. You would need two washes at least.

Although this is on the costlier side I would really recommend this if you have dry hair and are looking for something without the harmful chemicals.
