If you have been following my blog you would know that sunscreens break me out, moisturizers break me out and it was only a Vitamin C serum that started to work for me. And for sun protection I relied on the SPF provided by BB creams.

I was apprehensive, my acne had started to clear out and I was scared to try an Olay Total Effects product because my earlier tryst with them was really not pleasant. But after reading about the product I thought I will give it a try and if the first application broke me out that was the end of all Olay trials on my face.

The Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Cream plus Serum Duo is very thick in texture. It spreads out easily, one pump is enough for the entire face and neck.
The duo has a lovely floral musky fragrance that does not linger on after application (vanishes in about 3-5 minutes) Its the same fragrance you find in other products from this range.

Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Anti-ageing + Fairness Cream - My Experience So Far
It has been a week since I've been using this. Yes you read that right, its been a week only. The first time I tried it I applied it at night so that in case it broke me out I would have makeup to cover it up in the morning. Well - it did not break me out so I was super happy!!! Then I tried it in the morning, it left my face feeling so soft and moisturized but there was no greasiness. I went off to work and checked my face during lunch - no greasiness at all. I was surprised beyond words.
So far I am amazed at how this product is working so well even on my troublesome skin.
- It is not breaking me out so I can use this as a daily moisturizer
- It has SPF 15 which is good for me as I'm not in the sun for long hours
- It leaves the skin feeling very soft and eases the application of makeup if I use any
- Face appears brighter - I have used just a loose powder on top of this to give me coverage for old blemishes without needing any extra products
- Blemishes have not vanished, its just been 7 days so I will continue to use this and see how far it can go to actually clear out my face
- There are no dry patches on my face throughout the day now
- I haven't become fairer in 7 days but overall my face appears more healthy
- My pores appear less prominent when I have this on my face (though after washing off they still appear normal - maybe with time I might see an improvement there as well!)
It is still too early to say that my skin has become more younger looking but overall the fact that this product is working on my skin is amazing. I will post an 'update' post once I finish my bottle. I am currently loving the texture of this product and the way it leaves my skin feeling soft yet non greasy.

Do a post on the ingredients ( they are mentioned in the pack )that way people can know whether the product will break them out or not. Like isopropyl palmitate , castor oil - these are comedogenic. And maybe you too can figure out what might break you out and there will be less trial and error for you. You have a great blog here.

DeleteFor me different combination of ingredients break me out and under different conditions so its diff to judge simply by looking at the ingredient list.

If it is, you can probably hold off on the wrinkle cream for a few more years. If it isn't, then you may want to start using antiaging wrinkle cream in order to get back that beautiful, wrinkle-free glow.
