If you remember long back (I think in December 2013) I had hauled some organic skin care products. Today I'm sharing my review of one of the products I got during that haul. It is the Passion Indulge Tea Tree Oil for active acne. Tea Tree oil is an essential oil known for its antibacterial properties.
It is said that Tea Tree oil should be mixed in a carrier oil and then applied to the skin to treat acne. The Tea Tree oil from Passion Indulge comes in a dark blue glass bottle with a screw top cap. Details about the product and its usage are mentioned on the outer carton and there is a leaflet inside which gives more details.
Once you take off the screw cap you will find a plastic stopper inside which has a hold to dispense drop by drop. This is good because you only need a small amount of this oil and it prevents you from over-dispensing the product.
The oil itself is clear in color and has a strong spicy smell. The smell does not linger for too long once applied to the skin.
The reason I started using this oil was due to cystic acne on the jaw area that simply refused to go away. I started using this at night and in the morning (under my makeup) daily. I did not mix it with a carrier oil because I know my skin needed a heavy does of this oil at that time. I dotted this oil on the acne area only. I also used a drop mixed with my foundation to prevent any more breakouts on other areas of my face.
If you apply this directly on bare skin will sting a lot so if you have dry skin don't use this without a base oil. If you plan to use this directly on skin (which is clearly not recommended by the brand itself) dot it only on the acne.
You can also add a drop to the water you use for facial steaming. I haven't done it myself because I'm too lazy to steam my face.
Anyhow, I noticed the infection inside the acne healing after about a week of using this daily. And the acne did not leave behind horrid marks as it normally would. Overall I have really liked how this worked for me and would like to include this in my regular skin care routine once I have settled down with what exactly works for me as the season changes. The Kaircin oil that I reviewed a few days back is already part of my nighttime routine and I plan to use this only on the active acne. My first bottle is finished and I plan to repurchase it.
This costs Rs 300 for 10ml

Nice... I will advice people to get some face washes and soaps which have the tea tree oil ingredient in it. This will make your face and skin get the normal tea tree oil effect without some much of added effort.
