ICK Optimus Crystal Blue Contact Lenses - Review and Price

Hello! Today I have to share a fun product that was sent to me for review. I say fun because this is the first time I am trying colored contact lenses!

The lovely people of PastelNoodles famous for the Circle Lens from Korea wanted to know if I would be interested in trying out some colored contacts. I have been using contact lenses for the past 10 years. But somehow I never ventured to try colored lenses. So when this opportunity came I thought why not!

The customer service is great and the package arrives within a week of ordering. The site offers lenses that come with power and without power. The lenses are priced between $10 to $50 depending on the brand and power. And they accept PayPal which is great for us international customers. Shipping on these lenses is free of cost but the site offers other products that might have a shipping cost that varies from region to region and also depends upon the weight of your package.

The lenses come packed in a cute little box and they also sent me this super cute hair accessory with it. My 2 year old niece saw it when I was chatting with her on Skype and said in her cutey pie tone - "I got it" while she grabbed it through the phone. I sent it to her and I'm sure she loves the bright color and soft touch of the band.

Coming back to my lenses. So the lenses I got for review are the  ICK Optimus Colored Lens in Crystal Blue. Each lens comes in a small glass bottle with a rubber cap. The cap is secured with a metallic enclosure. The power of the lens is mentioned on the cap. The pack also contains a small plastic tongue that can be used to take out the lens.

I, however, was a bit skeptical about letting anything come near the lens so I simply toppled the bottle in my palm and the lens slid out easily.

The lens is blue with a pattern of black that gives the lens a more natural look on my dark brown eyes.

Once you take out the lens you must clean it with a lens cleaning solution. I trust my Bio-True lens solution. After cleansing the lenses I put them in my eyes. These lenses are slightly bigger in diameter than the ones I am used to so initially it felt a bit odd. But I showed it to my family and they said these colored contacts looked nice :)

The pair of lenses can be used for 6 months with a wear time of 12 hours every day. They feel soft and comfortable in the eyes. I think if the diameter was slightly smaller they would feel absolutely un-noticeable to me. The website clearly states the diameter so you can check to make sure you are ordering the correct diameter suited for your eyes. They make my eyes look bigger. I feel like doing a Korean style eye makeup with these on. Will try and do it one of these days and post on instagram.

Overall I seem to love these, I am still a bit shy in walking to work wearing these but I do plan to shock my colleagues one day :)

Do you use contact lenses? Have you tried colored contacts? What other colors do you think would suit my deep brown eyes? Would love to hear your thoughts.
