Kat Von D Chrysalis Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Photos, Swatches

KatVonD Chrysalis Eyeshadow Palette is a stunner - whether you talk about the packaging or the colors inside.

The dark themed butterfly speaks smokey with a hint of softness.  Its a black cardboard material with a matte finish. Yet it feels nice when you hold it. And mine was quite safe in bubble wrap when it reached me. The palette opens up with a big mirror on one side.

The eyeshadow palette consists of a total of  twelve shades that range from soft beige to purple to deep navy blue. The colors have different finishes making this palette very versatile when you combine different colors.

 The larger eyeshadows are highlights and can be used as a base to pop out other colors. These are 2.69 gm. each, while the smaller eyeshadows are 1.4 gm. each.

Kat Von D’s eyeshadow formula is nice and soft. It is easy to blend the colors but some shades do tend to sheer out. One or two colors can be a bit powdery too. With an eyeshadow primer this problem is sorted. The wear time is nice - I got a wear time of about 5 hours on my oily lids without a primer.

FOTD Using Maybelline Insta Glam Box - Review

Hi everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the Raksha Bandhan celebrations - and if you are in Delhi - the rains just made the day a lot better weather wise!

Today I am sharing a simple FOTD I did sometime back using the Maybelline Insta Glam box. Maybelline has come up with these gift boxes which are wedding and festival special that contain a mix of Maybelline products. I did my FOTD using the Maybelline Insta Glam Box which is a wedding special box.

The box comes in a bright orange color with a magnetic closure. The box I have contains the following products:

3. Diamond Glow Eye Shadow

7. Color Show Liner

My box is the pink box. I used all the products to create a day time party look with smoked purple eyes. Since the look was for a day time party I haven't made the eyes too smokey. And I mixed the metallic blue eyeliner with the black kohl to create just a hint of blue on the eyes.

For the face base I have used a new foundation that I am trying out these days from an organic brand. Will be reviewing that soon too.

Hope you liked this look. I think the Insta Glam box is great for gifting. It is a great set for college going girls as it helps you save money - if you buy the above products individually they will cost you Rs 2010 but this box is priced at Rs 1499.
