How To Contour With The Right Brushes

Recently Sigma put out a post on how to do contouring using the right set of brushes. I thought it would be good to share the post with you all. Its mostly taken from the Sigma team with some inputs here and there of my own experience.

Contouring involves the use of darker shades to create the illusion of a shadow, making areas of the face appear slimmer. 

"To enhance the cheekbones, locate the hollows of your cheek. Apply your contouring powder starting at the hollows, working upwards toward the hairline in small, circular motions to avoid creating a harsh and unrealistic line. Although cheeks are the most common place for contour application, you can lightly apply contouring powder along the jaw line, hair line and even the sides of nose for a slimming effect as well."
My tip - contour forming a 3 shape from your forehead, moving inwards towards your cheeks and then out around the jaw!

• F05 – Small Contour: Creates a chiseled look when used to apply quick strokes of contour powder along the hollows of the cheekbone for a defined finish.
• F86 – Tapered Kabuki: Best for precision. Use to apply cream or powder contour products on the angles of the face such as around the nose and jaw line. (The F25 and F35 are also great options!)
• F40 – Angled Contour: Perfect for sweeping bronzer onto the temple and hair line for soft, blended results.
