Girly Girl Nail Art Challenge - Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice - Sugar Spun Nails Tutorial

This week's challenge is sugar spice and everything nice. I am doing a quick photo tutorial of the sugar spun nails taking inspiration of a small clutch clip that I have!

The first step is to paint your nails in the base color. I chose white.

Then take out the nail paint in a darker color (I chose red) and take out a few drops on a sheet of paper (a plastic sheet is better as it won't soak up your nail paint).

Let the nail paint become thick in consistency so that when you dip a toothpick in it, the nail paint drags along the toothpick. Now all you have to do is drag this line of nail paint onto your nails. Keep repeating to create strips of paint on your nails. The thinner your tool (toothpick) the finer your output would be.

I just created a very messy sugar spun look going in sync with my clutch clip.

Have fun creating sugar spun nails on your own - it is a fun technique and guess what - you can finally use up all your old nail paints that are drying out - they are perfect to create sugar spun nails!
