Stay Quirky Nail Polishes Swatched

A new entry into the Indian nail market is Stay Quirky. A brand of polishes that claims to be 5 free with 150 shades landing from pearly, gel finish, glitter, and textured sand polishes.

The polishes come in short fat cute looking bottles. Unfortunately the bottle says nothing about being 5 free, nothing about the ingredients, and the worst part is there is no shade name on the bottle. There is a serial number at the bottom which is the shade number.

Other than that the polishes do have a decent staying power and the shade selection is pretty nice. It is good to see more brands coming into the Indian nail polish industry - it means more options for us!

Today I am sharing swatches of 3 shades. I was told the shade names by the team behind the brand otherwise I wouldn't know which polish is what.

Not So Aloof is a "jersey effect" textured sand polish. It is a lovely peach toned polish with extremely tiny orange particles. The texture is a bit too sandy for my liking. Even with a thick top coat you can feel the texture - its very sharp almost like sand paper.

Price: Rs 275

Polish Me Se*y is my favourite shade from the three. Its a pearly metallic finish brown polish which has a very smooth finish. I did a nail art with this polish where I also tested it with a stamping plate. It works well over both light and dark base. With stamping its not very prominent but will do for designs that need subtle stamping. This is one shade I will recommend you try out.

Price: Rs 110

865 - Hell Broke Loose

Hell Broke Loose is a clear polish with black straight glitter in it. This is a polish topper and another good to have polish to create nail art. You can use this over any coloured polish to give it a black glitter effect.

Price: Rs 175

Please excuse my stubby unshaped nails in the color swatches.

Have you tried any polishes from SQ? I want to try their regular cream polishes which are priced around Rs 80 which is a price point I don't mind trying out. I do think the textured and glitter polishes are on the expensive side specially because the polish bottle has only 8mL of the product. The polishes are currently available only on purplle.com
