Matrix Biolage Fortifying Shampoo

I have long hair and am always looking for shampoos to help with the frizz. Hair fall is also a problem because the water in my area is hard water. I keep switching shampoos every now and then so that there is no build up of any one chemical. I prefer herbal shampoos but when I read some reviews about the matrix range  I had to give it a try.
I ordered this from the web and it cost me Rs 190 for a 200ml bottle. The bottle has a flip cap so its easy to use.

The shampoo is white in color and has a drool worthy fragrance if you like floral/fruity fragrances. Actually the fragrance is quite rich and not just floral - a little difficult to explain really - sometimes it feels like there is a hint of coconut fragrance as well. The fragrance doesn't last too long after you wash it off so it should be fine even if you don't like heavy fragrances in your shampoo. The texture is thick - just thick enough to give you a rich lather.

The back label says its surfactant based and you can clearly see the presence of SLS (sodium laureth sulfate) This is a rather bad chemical to be in any of our beauty products and is one downside of this otherwise good shampoo.

Now for the results - applying the shampoo to wet hair gives a very rich lather and I really enjoy massaging it all over my head. After washing it off my hair becomes clean, super soft and does not tangle at all. I love the results. I have been using it for about two weeks now and I am impressed - the frizziness is gone, hair feels smooth, shiny and tangle free.

What I like:
1. Fragrance - I love it
2. Creaminess of the shampoo
3. Gives excellent results

What I don't like:
1. Contains SLS

I will continue to use this until I lay my hands on the next shampoo worth giving a try.
