Vedic Line Papaya Scrub - Review

I am a person who likes to use a gentle scrub on a daily basic so that I can keep all blackheads away. My Neutrogena scrub is over and I was looking for a new scrub when I got my hands on the Vedic Line Papaya Scrub.

This scrub from Vedic Line comes in a tub packaging. It has a nice tray lid inside to prevent any spills and hence is travel friendly.

What the company claims about its fruit based products “Vedic Line Fruit Cosmetics contain a variety of fruit acids (Alpha Hydroxy Acids - AHA) & fruit extracts for rejuvenation of skin. They also have Vitamin A, C & E, essential fatty acids, anti oxidants & minerals which help in growth & renewal of healthy cells. Fragrance of our products removes stress & dullness.”

Main ingredients of the scrub are papaya extract and walnut granules. It also contains aloe vera, palm wax, almond oil, purified water, sodium benzoate (food preservative) and phenoxyethanol (oil based preservative).

The texture of this scrub is very creamy and the color is almost that of fullers earth. It does have a fruity fragrance but nothing overpowering. The walnut granules are very very tiny but they are harsh enough to give a good scrub. Hence it is recommended not to scrub too much.
I wet my face, took a small amount (1/3 rd of what you see in the swatch below) and it was good enough for my entire face. Initially the scrub felt a bit oily to touch on my skin. But after washing it off my skin felt smooth and radiant. I love how scrubbing tightens my pores (although temporarily) but the effect lasts for about 2 hours.

I am going to add this to my weekly skin cleanup routine. If you compare this with other walnut scrubs available in the market I think this is more gentle to the skin and I love the texture – not thick like most scrubs but quite creamy.
Details at a glance
Packaging: tub with an inner tray lid to prevent spillage
Texture: creamy with very very tiny walnut particles
Fragrance: mild fruity
Price: Rs 175 (100 ml)

What I like
  • texture
  • walnut particles are more fine as compared to other products I have used
  • gives a nice radiance to the skin (its almost as if actual fruit was scrubbed on the face)
What I don’t like
  • nothing

  3. The diff b/w this and the Himalayas/Everyuth is that the particles are much smaller in size and its texture is creamier (if you've used aloe vera I would say it is light to touch like aloe vera)
