Enchantess March 2013 - What's In My Potli?

In March I tried my luck with the Enchantess beauty box - and as it happens with these surprise products, sometimes they make you happy and sometimes they turn out to be complete duds!

My March Enchantess box came in two parts. First came the Inside Salon & Spa magazine and a week later came the actual product bag. My first sorrow point was in the delivery itself - the March subscription came in the beginning of April - now this is still acceptable with the beauty products but hey the magazine I got to read was a month late - so all horoscopes were out of date, and even the articles which were focused on Holi were too late to be read. All in all the magazine turned out to be a flick-and-throw-away in 5 minutes affair for me.

The products that came in the Enchantess potli were still better.
The potli is the regular potli that you get at gift shops if you are finding gift wrapping options for dry fruits during Diwali. Nothing spectacular here. There were 3 products inside namely a handmade soap, a dry shampoo and a CK lip gloss. Now handmade soaps are not really luxury as per my taste, the dry shampoo is something unique but again nothing luxurious about that either. The lipgloss from CK - well alright agreed CK is a 'foreign' brand but hey this is not a luxury product.

All in all I'm very disappointed in spending Rs 399 (cost of one month subscription) for the Enchantess subscription. I could have well bought 4 lovely nail paints from one of my favorite drugstore brands for that amount!

Until the company gives me a really good reason to subscribe I am staying away from Enchantess in the near future!

Have you subscribed to beauty boxes? Which is your favourite and why? Tell me which one should I try out?

  2. I had subscribed for the March one but did not get it. When I contacted them they said that my subscription was for April. I told them that I subscribed it on the 9th of March so how could my subscription be for April. They were like oh sorry but now you will get it in April. YOu dont have to wait for to many days as April is here already :P

Really?!? They really need to up their game....

  3. I got the dry shampoo too with the mfg/expiry date mysteriously peeled off, a TBS body lotion that was manufactured 2.5 years ago. I had two of my subscription left and I chose to cancel my subscription.

  4. I just cancelled my subscription. And Enchantess replied saying that the products were well within the expiry date. I would not waste my time arguing with someone who follows no ethics. Just not worth the effort. And what is surprising is that there seem to be less than 10 reviews of Enchantess in comparison to Vellvette, so I wonder who is actually subscribing to them.

    1. Gosh, I'm never going back to them again. Vellvette is much better - although I'm never 100% satisfied with my boxes from vellvette as well :)
