I am a bit late on posting about the
Clarins White Plus
Range Launch Party hosted by Vellvette on 6th April at The Westin Gurgaon.

The
WP Range Lauch Party was held in a conference room of the hotel. As soon as anybody entered Richa from
Clarins or Vineeta from Vellvette would personally welcome the person and get them acclimatized with what was going on.

It was a nice round table arrangement, a slideshow with product details was left running while the ladies from Clarins gave personalized explanations of the products as well as recommendations for different skin types.

The event registration required us to pay Rs 500 to book our seats and this amount was fully refundable. In fact we could exchange this for either a lip gloss or a lipstick from Clarins.

The offer was awesome but unfortunately the shade selection was limited and I had to stick with my refund. One little note here -
Clarins does have a
makeup range (and you will see pictures below) but the lipsticks that were on offer were not of a very good texture - they seemed quite rubbery when I tried to swatch on my hand! The glosses were lovely and non-sticky.

Alright back to the event. Once I entered I was asked to fill in a short form with details on my skin. Then we were asked to go ahead and experiment with the skin care available on display. There were personalized pampering sessions as well where we got sort of a short facial done. Basically a good cleansing, moisturizing routine followed by a face pack for relaxation - all customized to our skin. My skin felt so soft and smooth even on the day after the event!

During the skin pampering session all our makeup was taken off so we were given a 'makeover' by the makeup expert at the Clarins makeup counter. The MUA gave me sultry smokey eyes with a deep blush - looked good under the yellow lights but I had to clean it up when I saw my self in the mirror under natural light - was simply too dark for my taste!

While we were waiting for our turn for the skin care session we were asked to go to the foyer where coffee, juice and yummy food awaited us. I could not take a lot of pictures of the food but you'll get an idea :)

I met Kumkum from Mumma's World and Awungshi from Dr Poison Ivy Blog - spent a lot of time with Kumkum and I was so excited to see her having the same mobile as I do (Nokia N8) simply because I dont see too many people using this phone. It takes awesome pics and ruins them only if you as a photographer don't take a proper picture! Had fun and the event was totally worth the 1.5 hours drive from my place! And hats off to Vineeta who put it all together!
I am eagerly waiting for the next even to happen and I do hope its not in Gurgaon - that is 70kms away one way!
Have you tried any products from Clarins? Any recommendations for combination skin?
