Lately I've been using a blush more often than I used to. I now love how a blush gives a flush of warmth to the face. Earlier I used to apply the blush with a round fluffy brush and was quite adept at it. Then I saw a video by a makeup artist on you tube and was floored with the ease that was provided by his angled blush brush. I loved it and wanted to get hold of an angled brush for myself.

Then came the Faces post - they sent me this lovely brush packaged nicely in a plastic pack with a zipper (which now actually serves as a travel pack for all my face brushes. Notice the plastic zipper). The post came just in time as I had almost finalized an angled brush online.

The brush packet also contains a card with instructions on how to use the brush along with more details about the product itself.

The brush is almost 8 inches long and is completely black in color (bristles and handle). The bristles are very
fine and smooth on the skin.

They pick up just the right amount of product at a go. The angle is perfect for application on the cheek bone and for blending the product as well. The volume of bristles is good and they are thickly packed which makes blending easy.

Only one bristle came off after washing (that too first time only) so overall I am very satisfied with this brush. It is prices at Rs 349

thanks Tej. Yup I never knew this would make such a big difference until I used it!
DeleteI like the shape of this brush but I feel it is a bit too rough. :( I'm hoping that a few washes will make it softer.
ReplyDeletereally? Mine is so nice and soft! Which one do you otherwise use - maybe that one is softer in comparison!
DeleteI have their foundation and concealer brush. Will try this one.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Shilpa.:)
glad you liked the review. I'm in love with my ELF foundation brush but will try the Faces next :)
DeletePlease suggest: I need to buy a angled brush for eyebrows. Could you suggest me something affordable?
ReplyDeleteYou can try the one from Bare Escentuals, I've heard its pretty good. I myself have not tried an angled eyebrow brush. If you really don't want to buy a special brush for the eye brows, I'll share a small trick - instead of using a brush use your little finger for precise application of product. Then use a clean fluffy eye shadow brush to gently dust off excess. Do this before doing rest of the eye makeup so that any fallouts can be cleaned up easily!
DeleteOh nice! Honestly its so hard to find any good brushes in India but I am quite satisfied with the ones I bought from Oriflame!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my diary and commenting during a constructive manner, following on already! nice diary your have-I notably enjoyed your post on top of as I simply attended a Smash box event wherever the conjure artists all used brushes to use foundation giving a pretty mat and even finish!
