Summers are here and so is the time to take out those pressed powders for finishing off your makeup.
Today I'm sharing the FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Pressed Powder. I have already reviewed the Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation

The packaging is very nice, a black container with silver embossed letters make it look chic. The lid opens to reveal the powder puff inside while the lower half opens up to reveal the actual product as well as a mirror. This is perfect for travelling.

The powder puff is nice and soft and gives a very even application. A tip - remember to press down the puff on your face instead of swiping it all over. Pressing it down allows the powder to settle easily without wasting product and also gives a more neater finish.

I have been a big fan of previous FACES foundations that I have used and have one more to share with you all. This is the FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin foundation.

It comes in frosted glass bottle with a pump cap. The bottle looks luxurious.
It is convenient to dispense but due to the glass packaging it can't accompany me on my travels.

FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation claims to be an ultra-lightweight liquid to powder foundation owing to its new breakthrough color technology.

It is a serum based foundation and does actually feel almost like water when you apply it to your skin. Its like there is nothing on your skin at all. The coverage is medium build-able.
The finish it imparts to the skin is very natural, almost matte. The smooth texture makes this foundation literally glide on your skin.

FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin is available in four different shades ranging from light to dark - Ivory, Natural, Beige and Sand,
Shades have been chosen to work with the Indian skin tone and the foundation also comes with SPF 15.

A little round pot of joy - that is what I call this cute little product from FACES cosmetics. This is the Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder.

The packaging is cute, a black pot with a silver screw lid. The lid  houses the powder puff inside. The base is nice and flat so that the pot can stand upright without toppling over.

The Glam On volume perfect mascara wand is tapered at the end making it easy to apply at the inner corners of the eye. The bristles are densely packed and give an even coat of the mascara. The mascara is jet black and dries quickly. There is no clumping and I can coat my lashes multiple times without clogging them. It stays on the whole day but does come off easily with a water based makeup remover.

The eye shadows are lightweight and have a smooth creamy texture. The colors blend easily. The colors are long lasting (without a primer they stay on for a good 4-5 hours) - the Glam On range is meant to be a long lasting range and is said to be formulated with special toners for that long-lasting hold. These are also safe to use as the company claims these are preservative free.

Hi friends, I am back with yet another post about lipsticks. This time two matte lipsticks from FACES Ultime Pro Velvet Matte collection.

These lipsticks are very differently packaged as compared to the Color Perfect lipsticks I shared. They come in a matte black packaging. The lid clicks on and stays put even when you keep the lipstick in your bag. Very classy chic packaging. And the shade label on the bottom is color coded to match the lipstick shade.

FACES Utlime Pro Velvet Matte lipsticks are smooth to apply, give a matte look, and do not dry the lips. You do need to exfoliate your lips properly before using them as matte lipsticks tend to highlight lip lines. 

Overall the texture is creamy and smooth. Proof and Just Looking both shades are opaque, a single swipe covers all lip pigmentation. Without food the lipstick lasts for a long time but one full meal and the lipstick fades on the inner part of the lips. Since the lipsticks are non staining you must reapply immediately after having food else the lips look horrible. With such lipsticks I prefer to use a staining lip liner underneath. Doing so not only increases the staying power but also ensures that your lips are not left bare with an outline of lipstick after you have your meal.

The plastic is of a good material and looks nice. FACES Glam On Color Perfect Lipsticks are extremely moisturising. If you apply a single layer its almost like coloured gloss. I love this texture specially for summers. The texture is smooth and light, even multiple layers of the lipstick does not feel heavy on the lips.

The lipsticks are surprisingly long lasting despite the glossy texture. I applied this around 12pm, was out shopping, eating, and when I returned back home in the evening the lipstick was still there albeit a little lighter.

The Ultime Pro Shine Eyeliner has a smooth liquid texture. The glittery particles cannot be felt and only add sparkle to the eye once applied. It dries and sets quickly and stays smudge proof thereafter. fairly pigmented. One swipe gives less of the blue color unless you draw very very short strokes. I usually like to add a double swipe to get the color in full capacity on my lids.

Faces Blush Brush - Angled Makeup Brush Review

Lately I've been using a blush more often than I used to. I now love how a blush gives a flush of warmth to the face. Earlier I used to apply the blush with a round fluffy brush and was quite adept at it. Then I saw a video by a makeup artist on you tube and was floored with the ease that was provided by his angled blush brush. I loved it and wanted to get hold of an angled brush for myself.

Then came the Faces post - they sent me this lovely brush packaged nicely in a plastic pack with a zipper (which now actually serves as a travel pack for all my face brushes. Notice the plastic zipper). The post came just in time as I had almost finalized an angled brush online.
