FACES Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder - Review, Swatches

A little round pot of joy - that is what I call this cute little product from FACES cosmetics. This is the Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder.

The packaging is cute, a black pot with a silver screw lid. The lid  houses the powder puff inside. The base is nice and flat so that the pot can stand upright without toppling over.

The packaging is very travel friendly.

The powder has a very faint fragrance that is not noticeable within seconds of application. 

Texture of the powder is extremely fine and smooth.

A couple of months back I got to try out a product from Tips & Toes. Its from the Professionals Pure Mineral Make-Up line of products and is a combo of powder foundation and concealer (shade Tawny Tan).

The packaging is really nice and travel friendly. Basically its a pot of powder with a screw cap. The cap is actually a pot of concealer which has a flip cap on it. This makes sure that you can carry both your concealer and powder foundation together.

And there is a small applicator brush for the powder foundation that sits inside this packaging. And there is a mirror inside as well - yup they packed in everything into this pot so that you have it all in one place. 

Hiding Acne Scars - And The Winner Is?

A whole week spent trying to hide those acne scars. Four products of one brand put to test. Faces Canada cosmetics have faired quite well.

So we saw how the Faces Vanishing Act Concealer, the Faces Oil-Free Foundation, and the Faces Mineral Loose Powder fared. The fourth product I realized had already been reviewed by me sometime back - the Faces Silken Finish Pressed Powder.

So which one was the best in terms of concealment? If you have read my posts you know it is the Faces Oil-Free Foundation hands down. And if you haven't you can check out each post which has real face photos with and without the product.

The vanishing act concealer also did a good job but for a person who wants to do up their entire face it becomes necessary to use a foundation and that is where the Faces Oil Free Foundation comes to the rescue.

For a more subtle look opt for the vanishing act concealer topped with the mineral loose powder and you are set for the day.

Treating the scars takes time so it is imperative to hide them when you can. So no more scary acne scars, say YES to gorgeous fresh looking skin!

The powder comes in a very cute packaging. It comes in a small plastic broad based bottle with a black screw cap. The cap has a convenient mirror on the top. Inside there is a sponge applicator head which attaches to the bottle and can be used directly to apply the powder to the face.

When you take off the main cap, you will find a screw cap with the sponge applicator. Unscrew this and there, as a protection for the powder, preventing it from spilling out, was a small plastic tray. You need to take this out and screw back the sponge applicator. The sponge applicator has holes underneath that can allow the powder to come through. The plastic tray need not be replaced once opened. The powder will not spill out as long as your sponge applicator cap is properly screwed on.
