Indian Independence Day Nail Art

Today's nail art is extremely simple. Inspired by the Indian National Flag - the Tiranga - or tri-color.

I was just mentioning to my friends today on how simple and childish this nail art will appear as compared to some artistic wonders they were coming up with but well this is what I wanted to do and so here it is. (Nicky now you know what I meant !)

I have used acrylic paints and a painting brush. Instead of creating strokes of color I just patted down the brush to create the effect. I was planning to use a blue on top and do a saran wrap but when I finished painting the tri-color I was so happy with the bright colors on my nails that I simply stopped there (saran wrap I will post you sometime later!)

If you are using acrylics too please do use a good base coat to prevent your nails from staining and don't forget a good top coat to make it last longer.

All my friends will be doing the Independence day nail art and you can check out other posts below (once they start adding their links!)

Happy Independence Day in advance!
