Today I'm reviewing two gorgeous shades from the new L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse range.

Shine Caresse lip colors are liquid lipsticks with an extremely light weight texture and give shine like a lip gloss.

They come in these cute little boxes with a tiny window through which you can see the color you have purchased. Details of all the ingredients are mentioned on the box (click the picture to enlarge it)

Inside the box is your lipstick packaged in a light gold tube.

The lipstick opens from the square end which has the shade name written on it. Just twist it open and what you get is a doe shaped applicator very common in lip-glosses.

The texture of the lipstick is liquidy but not runny. The applicator is perfect to fill in your lips without letting the product bleed out. On applying the lip color goes on smooth without any feathering. It hides the lip lines and smoothens out the lips. Lighter colors might not hide the pigmentation on your lips completely. For highly pigmented lips if you wish to apply a lighter shade I recommend you check out the tip given at the end of the post.

I got two colors from this range - Shine Caresse Bella (604) and Shine Caresse Pretty Woman (900)

Bella is bright coral pink color but does not look as bright as it does on the applicator; Pretty Woman is a lovely soft brown shade with an orange undertone - this is my MLBB shade.

The above swatches have a lot of product to show you the color. If you sheer these out they will appear very subtle but you can layer them on without feeling heavy on your lips. Layering will give you the vibrancy that you see in the swatches.

In the above FOTD I'm wearing Pretty Woman on my lips. You can see how smooth and glossy my lips look and the pigmentation does not show. 

Now lets see whether I liked these or not - just one word - LOVE!!!!!

Yes I loved these for the below reasons:

1. The colors are absolutely apt for my style - bright but not over the top.

2. The texture is so light weight and moisturizing - my lips feel super smooth

3. They have a very nice fragrance - its not overpowering at all - well atleast I love it - absolutely love it - I like lip products that smell good.

4. The price - these are priced at Rs 499 - in today's day and age you couldn't ask for more.

5. They stay on my lips - I wore this to work, had my breakfast and a cup of tea, and later when I checked I still had it on my lips, so yay, now I want to get rid of all my lip glosses and stack up on these.

6. The color is build-able - you can keep it subtle like a gloss or layer it on for more vibrancy

I normally don't do ratings but these made me want to start a rating system. I give these a 10/10

Style tip 1: apply one coat of the Shine Caresse lip color and let it sit for a couple of minutes before applying a second coat. This helps in hiding pigmenation and make the color look more vibrant.

Style tip 2: for heavily pigmented lips cover your entire lip with either a lip pencil or simply apply some foundation to the lips. And now your lips are primed and ready to show-off the gorgeous lip colors from the Shine Caresse range.
