Soultree Ayurvedic Kajal (Green Kohl) Review and Swatch

Soultree ayurvedic kajal has been out in the market for quite some time now. Recently one of the beauty bags also had this as part of the monthly offering. The kajal (kohl) comes in a lipstick style packaging with a pointy tip.

This colored kohl is extremely safe for the eyes because it is free of preservatives and synthetic coloring.
It is made of organic ghee (unprocessed butter), camphor (for a cooling effect), almond oil and organic pigments for the color.

Price: Rs 350 (available for Rs 295 online)

The texture of the Soultree kajal is extremely soft and smooth. The color is not intense but buildable. The kajal does not irritate the eyes and can be applied on the waterline.

On my oily lids it appears very faint but gives a nice green outline. I like the fact that the kajal is easy to carry around and looks good as a eye shadow too.

It is not waterproof.

Overall its a good kajal for people with sensitive eyes. It is available in other shades (including black). I am going to use mine mostly as a highlighter to add some green or as an eye-shadow on the complete lid.

I would have liked it to be waterproof (but I understand the ghee aspect and why its not waterproof).

Have you used any organic kajal or eye shadow before?

  1. It looks really nice and easy to apply. Did you apply a brown eye shadow before applying the green kajal? If so then the combination of the shadow and green kajal looks supper nice!

  2. I was reading your article and wondered if you had considered creating an ebook on this subject. Your writing would sell it fast. You have a lot of writing talent.
