Festival Of Love, Couple Spa at Temple Spa by Tattva, Radisson Jass Hotel, Khajuraho

Radisson Jass Hotel Khajuraho was our home for two nights during our road trip through Madhya Pradesh. On 31st December we decided to relax by taking a spa session at the hotel.

Temple Spa by Tattva

The Temple Spa by Tattva at Radisson Jass Hotel is located in one serence corner of the hotel. The reception is well lit with all glass walls and is nicely done up with Buddha figurines and other metal wall artifacts. There are many services offered at the spa ranging from 30 minute massage to something that lasts over 2 hours.

After going through the long menu we decided to try the Festival Of Love, couple spa. This includes
• 60 minutes Ayurvedic Massage therapy to balance the energy and calm the mind
• 30 minutes Indian Champi - a head massage where a nourishing hair oil is used to take you into a deeply relaxed state of restorative nap so that you are energized when you wake up
 • 30 minutes of relaxed time with rose and milk hydro- therapy in the Jacuzzi

We were first made to fill in a form listing any medical condition we had and what we were expecting out of our session. The manager even asked our pain points before introducing us to our massage therapists.  Likhika and Nimcha were extremely polite and led us to the couple spa room. We were given disposable undergarments and a bath robe to put on. There was a cupboard to keep our belongings and our clothes. The therapists left us alone while we changed. We had to knock on the door to let them know we were done so that they could enter back.

How To Do A Facial At Home Using Inveda Facial Kits

A facial is very relaxing when done at the parlour by a trained professional. But for women like me who are always short on time for self pampering, INVEDA has launched easy to use home facial kits.

Last year when I was traveling to the US and wanted something that I could take with me for an instant lift me up for my skin, I took along two variants - The Argan Oil & Dragon Fruit facial kit, and the passion fruit and silk protein facial kit.

These INVEDA facial kits include ingredients like Passion Fruit Oil which protects from damange caused by free radicals, argan oil, panax ginseng extract which improve complexion, ashwagandha extract that prevents fine lines and works against blemishes; Vitamin C known for its action against hyperpigmentation; Vitamin B3 - a very common ingredient in skin care treatments, dragan fruit extract to fight signs of aging etc.

Each kit is priced at Rs 225

Both the kits are very similar and I'll be using pictures of the Passion Fruit & Silk Protein facial kit for this review.

INVEDA facial kits come in a small box with 5 sachets each. This is a one time use facial kit consisting of a cleansing cream, a face scrub, a massage cream, a face pack and a protective serum.

Soultree Lipstick 820 Deep Blush Review and Swatch

It's raining herbal products on the blog this week. Up today is another product from Soultree - Colour Rich Lipcare - its a lipstick and I'm sharing swatches of the shade 820 Deep Blush.

Soultree Lipstick 820 Deep Blush Review and Swatch, organic lipstick
Soultree Lipstick 820 Deep Blush Review and Swatch

Soultree lipsticks come in their signature silver packaging (similar to the Colored Kohl I reviewed)

The lipstick contains color pigments of organic origin. It contains sweet almond oil, wild honey and organic ghee (clarified butter).

Price: Rs 450 (available online HERE)

The lipstick is buttery smooth in texture and highly pigmented. When I used it for the first time in winters it gave a crayon like feeling - or if you freeze ghee the kind of texture it has when you rub it with your fingers - that kind. But later it has become very smooth on application. It stays on the lips for a almost 4 hours but vanishes if you have a meal. It does not leave behind any stain. In winters I had to apply a lip balm after an hour or reapply the lipstick otherwise my lips would start to become dry.

Soultree Ayurvedic Kajal (Green Kohl) Review and Swatch

Soultree ayurvedic kajal has been out in the market for quite some time now. Recently one of the beauty bags also had this as part of the monthly offering. The kajal (kohl) comes in a lipstick style packaging with a pointy tip.

This colored kohl is extremely safe for the eyes because it is free of preservatives and synthetic coloring.
It is made of organic ghee (unprocessed butter), camphor (for a cooling effect), almond oil and organic pigments for the color.

Price: Rs 350 (available for Rs 295 online)

The texture of the Soultree kajal is extremely soft and smooth. The color is not intense but buildable. The kajal does not irritate the eyes and can be applied on the waterline.

Review: Iraya Anti-Acne Gel

I have been battling acne for a long time now. Some months back I tried out the Iraya Anti-Acne Gel and finally decided to post a review after trying it for quite a long time.
Review: Iraya Anti-Acne Gel
Review: Iraya Anti-Acne Gel

Iraya Anti-Acne Gel comes in a small glass jar with a screw cap. It is said to contain the goodness of 8 ayurvedic herbs that remove excess toxins to effectively heal breakouts and eruptions.

I personally prefer non-jar based packaging for the skin so that its easier to manage application with your fingers. For this pot based packaging I need to use a spatula so that I do not contaminate the whole pot.
