I have been battling acne for a long time now. Some months back I tried out the Iraya Anti-Acne Gel and finally decided to post a review after trying it for quite a long time.

Iraya Anti-Acne Gel comes in a small glass jar with a screw cap. It is said to contain the goodness of 8 ayurvedic herbs that remove excess toxins to effectively heal breakouts and eruptions.

I personally prefer non-jar based packaging for the skin so that its easier to manage application with your fingers. For this pot based packaging I need to use a spatula so that I do not contaminate the whole pot.

The gel is yellow in color and almost jelly like in consistency. It is easy to apply to the skin as it smothers to a smooth consistency.

It is advised to apply the product to clean skin for about 20 minutes and for problematic areas you can keep it on overnight. I initially tried the 20 minute application. It gives an instant fresh feeling to the skin. Seems like something is at work but nothing really happens. So I started using this overnight. Unfortunately I did not see any results I was expecting. Neither did it control my breakouts nor did it heal the existing ones. I am finishing off my pot just by applying this during my free time to give  a cool sensation to the skin knowing that there is nothing harmful in the product. So it basically is like a soothing mask for the face.

Iraya products have usually fared well for me and this is the first dud in my kitty. I will give this only 1/5 points - that too because I was able to use it as a general soothing face mask.
