A few days back I tried my hand at a website that sells Indian traditional attire. I am very skeptical about material and workmanship while purchasing Indian outfits online but I really liked this piece while browsing online and so took the plunge.
Sareez.com has a huge array of Indian wear. Sarees, salwar suits, and even lehnga cholis. Each category then has many subcategories like printed sarees, embroidered sarees, anarkali suits, straight suits etc. You can filter on price, workmanship, color, material as well as occasion.
The best part is that the site caters to a huge budget range as well. Sarees start at a Rs 1000 for cotton sarees.
I got a Chiffon saree which is navy blue in color and the pallu is a fuscia pink butta work. The saree has very pretty embroidery with resham and zari thread. It has a stripe work and patch patti border. The saree is not pure chiffon (hence the lower price range).
Normally products are shipped in 25 days because they custom stitch it to your size. But if you are in a hurry (like me!) they have this special range of 7 day products. These products are shipped to you within 7 days. If you buy a saree they even stitch the blouse for you. I did not get mine stitched because I have other plans for this saree. Will share the final stitched product once it is ready and I am wearing it :)
Sareez.com ships worldwide - and the good part - they ship free!
The site also offers kids wear and mens wear along with accessories. I think the first time I browsed this website I spent hours without noticing how much time I had spent just looking at the array of products on offer.
I just checked and noticed that Sareez.com is offering discounts ranging from 5% to 25% along with free gifts.
The only downside of this website is that filters don't work together, it seems to filter on one category at a time. Other than that I was quite pleased with the delivery and the fact that the product was exactly what I saw on the original image.
Have you shopped for Indian wear from online websites? Do share your experience and tell me which site can I try for an embroidered anarkali that would suit my short height.

DeleteI recently checked out the review for shopping from Sareez.com, and it sounds like a great platform for ethnic wear! If you're interested in building a similar online store, you might want to explore options for ecommerce website development in Dubai to enhance your online presence and user experience.
